your ideas deserve more than a moment

Inspiration happens by chance. What comes next is built with intention.

Ever wonder why your best ideas don't hit different?

Your sharpest ideas have a habit of getting watered down the minute you try to make them sound smart

You’re tired of turning your best thinking into half-baked content that disappears on the internet

You’re ready for your name to become synonymous with an idea—not just what you have for sale

You have thousands of notes and screenshots, but they never get developed into big, juicy concepts

You have a beautiful mind
and an even bigger mission.

Getting people to buy in is a whole other story.

You’ve spent years becoming exceptionally good at what you do. You have the experience, stories, opinions, scars, and hard-won perspective to prove it.

But for years, you’ve had this nagging feeling that the work you put into the world keeps missing the heart and soul of what you’re actually trying to say.

It technically sounds like you. The ideas are good and people reply and respond to them. But you know there’s another level you haven’t quite hit yet.

Your thinking could go deeper.

Your stories could hit harder.

Your words could carry more of you.

And somehow, the charisma, conviction, and personality that make people lean in when you speak keep disappearing the minute you try to sound premium, impressive, or professional.

Which would only be mildly annoying if all you cared about was content.

But the work you're here to do expands far beyond someone's earbuds, email inbox, or phone screen.

You want your stories to reveal something about the world your readers can't unsee.

To also want your body of work to travel beyond you, even if you aren't physically in the room: to be quoted, referenced, shared, saved, taught, and remembered.

But what if your best ideas could have a lifespan all their own?

Because you don't just want people to know what you do.

You want them to buy into what you believe.

Why, Hello there!

I'm Kendall Cherry.

Crafting my body of work changed my business—and my career as an author.

When I started writing Here to Sell, I had already spent years helping some of the smartest people I know find the stories, ideas, and language that made their expertise impossible to ignore.

But developing my own book—and finding the Kendall-iest way to articulate my POV and what I wanted to share with the world—required me to think outside the box.

‍I wasn’t looking to exhaust 60,000 words on a specific topic and I definitely didn’t want to publish a 250-page business card.

‍
I wanted to write a genuinely good book—one people would underline, dog-ear, re-read, recommend, and keep thinking about long after they finished.

‍So before I wrote the book, I spent an enormous amount of time developing the core thinking behind it.

‍
For years, I’d tested ideas in my newsletter and researched beyond the edges of my own expertise. I collected stories, developed frameworks, and found language for things I’d never quite known how to explain.

By the time I sat down to write the first draft, I wasn’t trying to figure out what I thought while simultaneously trying to turn it into a book.

‍
I knew what I wanted to say, which stories could help me say it, and exactly where I wanted to take my readers.

There was still plenty to discover along the way. But instead of every new idea threatening to send the book into a tailspin—or straight into the trash bin—I had a body of thinking sturdy enough to build on.

‍
And somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t just developing a book.

I was developing the body of work I wanted to write about, speak on, and teach others for the next five years.

HOW WE'LL develop
YOUR BEST IDEAS

Together, we’ll unearth what you’re here to say, the stories that bring it to life, and the intellectual universe that holds it all together.

Heading

Kendall gave me a framework for turning years of client wins into stories that actually sell without feeling salesy. She helped me pull out the details I’d been overlooking—the before, the breakthrough, the tangible results—and shape them into stories that show prospective clients exactly what’s possible when they work with me: turning something I used to avoid into one of the most powerful tools in my business.

FAQs

How do I know which way of working together is right for me?

It depends on what you’re trying to make.

‍

If you want to turn your thinking into a consistent stream of beautifully written, newsletter-style essays, Editorial Essays is probably your best fit.

‍

If there’s a specific book you know you’re here to write, The Legacy Book develops the POV, ideas, stories, frameworks, and structure before you start drafting.

‍

And if you’re thinking bigger than any single piece of work—about the ideas, language, books, stories, and intellectual territory you want your name associated with—Body of Work gives us room to develop the whole world.

Can I work with you in more than one way?

Absolutely! Once you fill out your inquiry form, I'll let you know which offer(s) are the right fit for you. I'll also include a development timeline and engagement structure in my initial proposal if multiple options would work best for your needs.

Do I need to have everything figured out before we work together?

Absolutely not! Figuring it out is part of the work we'll do together.

‍

You do, however, need something worth digging into: real expertise, lived experience, strong opinions, stories, questions you can’t stop thinking about, and enough time in your field to know where you agree—and where you decidedly don’t.

‍

You bring the raw material. We figure out what deserves to become something more.

What exactly do you mean by “development”?

Development is everything that happens between having something to say and knowing exactly what to make from it.

‍‍
We might interrogate an idea, research beyond what you already know, pressure-test your assumptions, find the story underneath the obvious story, sharpen your POV, develop original language and frameworks, or uncover connections you hadn’t noticed before.

‍
The exact process depends on what we’re making, but the goal is always the same: to develop your thinking deeply enough that execution becomes the easy part.

Can you ghostwrite my book for me?

Working with me to develop your Legacy Book is not a ghostwriting service. You’ll leave with the thinking, stories, language, frameworks, and structure developed deeply enough to write the manuscript yourself—or take it to the book coach, editor, or ghostwriter of your choice.

‍

I am only available to ghostwrite Editorial Essays and only accept a small handful of clients per year.

‍
‍
Body of Work is strategic advisory and development in a one-on-one setting, rather than done-for-you writing.

Who is this work best suited for?

I work best with established experts with something real to say.

‍

You’ve probably spent years—or decades—inside your field. You already have an audience, body of knowledge, point of view, and plenty of raw material. You’re not trying to manufacture expertise or become a “thought leader” overnight.

‍

You’re ready to make more of what you’ve already earned the right to know—and you care deeply about the quality of what carries your name.

How much does it cost to work together?

My private practice is intentionally small, and each engagement reflects the depth of attention involved. Many of my clients also work with me over many years, so openings are limited.

‍

Current investment, scope, timelines, and more information about my availability are all included in my services guide.

What happens after I download your services guide?

You'll have a chance to read over my process + methodology and the different services I offer. When you're ready to request a custom proposal or if you have questions about working together, you can fill out my inquiry form.

‍

From there, I'll get back to you with a custom proposal that includes scope, my availability, a project timeline, and payment options.

How do I know if I'm really ready for this depth of thought leadership development?

If you've made it this far down the page, you obviously care about your work and delivering a quality experience. This process isn't exactly linear and works best when you're accompanied by a guide who can process, reflect, and clarify your ideas with you.

What outcomes or results can I expect from this work?

Your specific outcomes will be highly dependendent to your individual journey, goals, and commitment to the creative process. While I don't guarantee specific results, the deeper discernment will clarify areas of intentional growth inside your business.

‍

In the past, my clients have published books, grown their audience, landed their dream keynote stages, and built a body of work that compounds. They've also secured multiple rounds of VC-backed funding, been interviewed on major podcasts, and deployed philanthropic initiatives as a result of our work.
